A daisy blooming again. Guru finds its way back with Ghep and a relaunch strategy based on soundness and desirability.

A relaunch for Gianluca Sessarego, one that has put the brand that became an icon of casualwear in the 1990s back on the map.
“It’s always started with the idea of relaunching Guru,” says Gianluca Sessarego, president and CEO of Ghep. “When we got the clothing sublicense in 2018, the goal was clear: to return to daisy blossom. With Ghep, we focused on a conscious rebranding, on a clean, essential, yet recognizable line. And today the results are showing: Guru is once again a desired brand.”
Sessarego has been working on a gradual growth strategy, aiming to return to retail markets and rebuild the wholesale channel: “By 2023 we are aiming for a more structured European distribution. The product is there, the people too. We are working on a solid foundation.”
