GURU GIVES THE Relaunch: AFTER ACQUISITION BY GHEP NEW BUSINESS, STYLE AND COMMUNICATION GOALS
The relaunch of the GURU brand continues with momentum after its acquisition in 2021 by GHEP – a reality founded by Gianluca Sessarego, a Ligurian entrepreneur active in the production and distribution of clothing and footwear. After difficult years and the change of several ownerships, GURU is now back to establish itself as a lifestyle brand that combines pop aesthetics and casual spirit, aiming to reconnect with consumers, especially the new generations.
It was thanks to the intuition of Gianluca Sessarego, founder in 2014 of GHEP, that it was decided to believe in the value of the brand to bring it back to its original spirit. A six-petaled daisy that marked the history of Italian fashion in the early 2000s. The creative team began a targeted rebranding effort, renewing the stylistic proposal without betraying the visual identity that made the brand famous.
The revitalization has three pillars:
Retail expansion, with a widespread presence throughout the country and Europe.
Digital strategy, with focus on e-commerce and social platforms.
New product lines, including capsule athleisure, kids collections and a new jewelry line.
In addition to the relaunch of the core business (t-shirts, sweatshirts, shorts), a retail presence in selected stores and collaborations with strategic partners are also planned.
The rebranding GURU by GHEP employs a young creative team with backgrounds in fashion design, sportswear and streetstyle. The design team is working on a strongly identifiable yet modern style proposal in line with new trends.
