Physical community and recognizable style. Guru strengthens wholesale distribution and looks beyond Europe, starting with a PE23 that combines heritage and new strategies.
Guru, S/S 23 marks expansion to wholesale distribution
Led by ceo Sessarego, the daisy brand is preparing to conquer Italy, Spain, France and Cira.
In the greenhouse is rebirth of Guru. Under the aegis of the Monzese Ghep Group, the daisy company is at work on the new www.guru-official.com , has signed sponsorships from the Alps to the Mediterranean, and is now preparing to take its rallying cry to trade shows:
“When we chose to relaunch the brand,” explained Gianluca Sessarego (president and ceo of Ghep), “we knew that the public was eager to see Guru again, paired with well-designed, thought-out, and matched offerings: this has been seen in the success of the public and sales of the relaunched products. The heart of Guru is right there in the clothing and the community of loyalists.”
The brand, now the subject of selected (and premium) distribution, is already reporting positive figures this year. S/S 23 main collections will reach a select number of physical boutiques, loyal partners and multi-brand retailers in France, Spain and Italy.
“The wholesale part is very important to us,” Sessarego continues, “because we believe in the concept of physical community, not just social. We are carefully choosing partners, starting with those who have known and lived Guru for a long time.”
The ceo also anticipated the desire to take the collection beyond European borders: “We have already made contacts also for Cira, where we will start positioning the brand in the coming months, starting with concept stores and lifestyle boutiques. It is a market that has potential and where we want to be visible as early as the second half of 2023.”
