GURU ON FASHIONMAGAZINE.CO.UK – RELAUNCH EVENTS

From music festival to international lifestyle. Guru relaunches with events, collaborations and new collections coming soon.
The first official release of the new Guru
The first official release of the new Guru was a few weeks ago, on April 19, in Prato Nevoso (Cn), where the brand was a sponsor of Lo Rossa Music Festival with Bob Sinclar as special guest of the high-altitude event.
But the label’s relaunch program includes participation in many more events throughout the summer and fall as a necessary step to let the public know that the daisy is back, Sessarego explains.
Thus, the “promotional tour” of Guru also includes Lamborghini Esports’ sponsorship of the Italian Gran Turismo Championship, as well as the introduction, in collaboration with major sports clubs and teams such as champion Valentino Rossi, who chose this circuit to debut his new career on 4 wheels.
In addition, Guru will tie the daisy brand to the Cheri Gredi restaurant in Formentera throughout the summer. It will create a series of ad hoc garments for the island’s historic eatery, which in addition to being usable as staff uniforms will also be made available to customers.
“Making long-term plans is very difficult at this stage,” the entrepreneur explains, “and although the priority is to get some imagery going, we are working on a plan that is developed in several phases.
In addition to expanding the product range (the collection for now is focused on T-shirts, sweatshirts, and leisure pants, but winter will bring the first outerwear and perhaps knitwear), work is being done on extending the licensing chain. “One of these agreements with Marbel Group for the kidswear line, already envisions placement in the outerwear sector as well,” Sessarego adds.
In the startup phase, Sessarego continues, the brand will be sold exclusively with direct-to-consumer logic through the e-shop and social channels of Guru and stores that will join a dedicated corner or capsule and participate in trade fairs, to make known to insiders the form and philosophy of the new Guru, stopping in-store in stores products marked with the daisy.
Last step of the relaunch project in an international key: in addition to Italy, the project will soon include a presence with some customized products in some foreign markets. By the 2023 season it will return to showrooms and massive communication at the offline and online level to make people eager to hear it on social media and see it in circulation again, Sessarego concludes.
